Welcome to Dominican Convent Higher Secondary School
Dear Parents and Guardians,
May 2026
Warm greetings, and a special welcome to our new students and their families to the Dominican Convent School community.
Echoing the words of Pope Leo, “Let us educate using nonviolent language, fostering reconciliation and building bridges instead of walls; may ‘Blessed are the peacemakers’ (Mt 5:9) serve as both our method and the essence of learning,” we strive to help our students grow not only academically, but also in empathy, understanding, and respect for others.
Dominican Convent School is committed to forming young people who contribute positively to society by promoting peace, justice, and responsible citizenship.
As we continue our educational journey together, we sincerely appreciate your ongoing support and partnership in your children’s learning and development. Your cooperation encourages us to create a meaningful and nurturing environment for every child.
This academic year has presented several challenges due to the reduction in teaching days, unavoidable holidays, and other interruptions. Despite these difficulties, our staff members are making every effort to complete the First Term syllabus before the summer vacation so that students remain academically prepared and on track.
Keeping these circumstances in mind, the Second Series of Tests will begin on May 15, 2026. We kindly request parents to encourage regular attendance, home revision, and timely preparation for the assessments.
Moreover, please take note of the following:
- Unless the Government of Punjab announces any changes, the previously communicated school timings will remain in effect.
- Students are expected to wear the proper summer uniform and carry a water bottle to cope with the intense heat.
- The Result Day will coincide with the First Term Parent-Teacher Meeting.
- Summer assignments will include both coursework and creative, research-based tasks. As usual, these assignments will carry 25 marks, which will be included in the Second Term report cards.
We, the teachers and administration, remain committed to providing quality education rooted in discipline, values, and holistic growth. Your understanding and cooperation are deeply appreciated as we work together for the well-being and success of our students.
May God continue to bless our school community with wisdom, peace, and unity.
